Environment and Social Assessment Procedures Manager
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engaging an external E&S consultant to support the Company in developing their HSES Strategy and ESMS
- Establishing an incident log for each site across all countries of operations
- Developing an end-of-life plan for e-waste at Group and project levels.
- Preparing and implementing an updated Group E&S Policy and ESMS that reflects specific aspects on sourcing electronic components from approved suppliers, screening suppliers for social and environmental risks, ensuring suppliers comply with in-country legal requirements, including a “do no harm” statement in terms of HSES, and reporting any major HSES incidents to investors and public stakeholders (where relevant).
- Developing a Transport/Road Safety Management Procedure that includes responsibilities for overseeing vehicle journey plans, investigating accidents/incidents and reviewing them by the Company, and conducting periodic performance audits to address occupational and community health and safety risks related to road transport.
REQUIREMENTS - 3-5 years experience in Environmental, Social, and associated Risk Management
- The successful candidate should have strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. They should also possess a university degree or equivalent in Environmental Management, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field, demonstrated knowledge.
